Barbara Zelnick
Barbara mentors and supports professional leaders during life and career transitions. Barbara has held leadership positions with high technology companies ranging from start-ups to those that are publicly traded, functioning in communications, marketing and public relations roles. During her twenty year career in Silicon Valley, she launched new technologies and created a range of strategies for effective communications. She has positioned start-ups to successfully raise millions of dollars of venture funding and has worked with executive and management teams, founders and customers both in-house and as a consultant. Her experience includes working for Osborne Computer, IBM, British Telecom, Octel Communications and Cisco Systems.
Concurrent with her successful career in marketing, Barbara exercised a lifelong interest in awareness practices, subtle energy dynamics and spiritual growth. Ordained in 1985 through a non-denominational church, she has since studied and trained with leading meditation teachers and spiritual growth organizations. Barbara's practice integrates these domains and offers a client-centered model of compassionate and grounded self-awareness.
Barbara has also practiced as psychotherapist at the University of California San Diego Department of Psychiatry and the Veterans Health Administration in San Diego.
