SOLVING PEOPLE PROBLEMS

Harnessing Conflict Through Transitions

Headquartered in La Jolla, California, The Zelnick Group was established in 2005 to solve people problems.

The founders, Michel and Barbara Zelnick, brings their experience in both business and psychology to assist business owners, partners and family enterprises to better:

Harness conflict to fuel creativity

Engage in effective organizational decision-making

Assist enterprise, inter-personal, and personal transitions

Leverage other advisers and resources

Envision a constructive and sustainable path forward

The Zelnick Group offers individual and group consulting on a retainer basis with carefully selected clients to harness corrosive conflict and unleash creative opportunity. Michel generally works with partners, families, and groups so that they may develop the skills and perspectives needed to think clearly and act wisely to resolve interpersonal conflict. Barbara's practice focuses more on mentoring  individual business people through their professional transition issues.

Michel holds advanced degrees in law, accounting and psychotherapy. He has worked, as a CEO, attorney, business consultant, and CPA, for private, public, and family enterprises in a range of industries – including manufacturing, medical services, software, and transportation – and as a licensed marriage and family therapist.

Barbara holds advanced degrees in business and psychotherapy. She has worked in public and privately held technology firms in public relations and corporate marketing for over twenty years, as well as having practiced as a licensed marriage and family therapist.

Based on the background and experience of the Zelnick Group's principals, clients are served from both a business and psychological perspective. The integration of these two ways of thinking allow for the development and application of creative approaches to help solve client people problems.
