Mapping Out New Directions
A person or enterprise can experience years of uninterrupted success and still reach a point where a new direction needs to be taken. In some cases, the type of change is obvious or a natural extension of the previous direction or way of being. In other cases, things may be less clear as to the most effective path forward. In those instances, a systematic process may be necessary.
We have observed that people who are smart, hard working, and disciplined can make almost any situation work. Often, through sheer will and familiarity, success and prosperity by be achieved. Yet, one can experience success and not be thriving. The question then becomes: when is it appropriate to continue along a familiar path and when should one consider a change?
Personal growth can be one of the outcomes of life change. Unexpected or unbidden
changes in our personal lives can bring an unwanted sense of chaos,
loss of identity, role confusion or a surrender of treasured
expectations and dreams. Change
can occur across time at an almost imperceptible pace through necessary losses or in sudden
shifts through accidents or tragedy. Left unaddressed unwelcome changes in our
lives can undermine our sense of efficacy, purpose and joy in living. Change can also foreshadow new growth. Individuals can
find that taking supported risks, trying new behaviors or exploring new
modes of self- expression are welcome signs of a changing life and
growing confidence. Internally driven changes can reveal new interests,
foster relationships and alter outmoded self-concepts.At The Zelnick Group we believe that by building clarity about your
situation, we can support your changes with a strength-based,
compassionate model of personal development. "The most successful people are those who are good at plan B." J.Yorke
